PEL = Provincial Evolution League
WPS created the Provincial Evolution League (PEL) to give the opportunity for athletes to compete in full FINA regulation games with, and against, other athletes in the province in a short 3-event game series. Athletes compete in one of two divisions: Development (~15U) + Open (~16+).
We welcome and ENCOURAGE all registered athletes in the province to join in! PEL Development is an inclusive league. Any athlete registered with their club can participate if they fall between the birth years below.
2024 Age Cutoffs*:
**Athletes born outside of these age ranges can submit an PEL Age Exemption Request and Waiver to Taylor (taylor@wpsask.ca). Once the exemption request has been submitted, the request will be reviewed by the PEL committee.
***Each year, WPS reviews and adjusts the eligible age range to best align with our membership.
Due to the busy 17U and Sr NCL schedules this season, WPS will not be hosting an Open PEL division.
Games run throughout the winter and spring, beginning in January, to offer our athletes more opportunities to play games in preparation for tournaments/events. Head to our calendar for more details on PEL event dates/times.
