Victor Bautista

Victor Bautista  -  Sport Recruitment / Sport Development / Active for Life


Victor Bautista started playing water polo at the age of 15 years old at the Democrata Sport Club in Tachira, Venezuela. After many years of competitive swimming, he quickly learned the sport and got called  into centralization after his first National championship and participated at the Junior Pan Ams in 2004 in El Salvador. He also played South American and World Championship as a junior.

Victor went to the US for college and water polo with a full ride from the Venezuelan government. He attended West Valley College (CA) and Fordham University (NY) and graduated with an A.A in Liberal Arts and Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics.

As a Senior National Team player, Victor played Central American games and his last tournament was the Pan Ams Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2011.

Victor came to Canada as a Provincial Coach in December 2012 and he has been in Saskatchewan with his wife, Ivana Corce. As a coach, he has worked with the 16U and 19U Boys and girls. Among his highlights, in 2015 he got the Bronze medal at the National Champion League with the 19U Girls team while in 2016, he got the Gold medal with the 16U Boys team and Most Valuable Coach.
